The Future
Leanchoil will be an innovative place that inspires its community to focus on their own improved wellbeing both now and in the future.
The aim is to acquire, conserve and refurbish the buildings and grounds of Leanchoil to ensure its future as a centre for health and wellbeing for its community. To do this ownership must first be transferred to the community from NHS Grampian, its current owners, through a community asset transfer (CAT).

Officially opened in April of 1892, Leanchoil served the communities of the area for over 125 years.Before hospital was built on the outskirts of Forres, the only available inpatient accommodation was a small building on Burnside.
