Membership
Leanchoil Trust is a membership organisation. The benefits of becoming a member:
- guide and influence the direction of the Trust in its efforts to protect and develop Leanchoil now and in the future
- nominate and elect Directors and Officers (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer)
- receive regular updates on the Leanchoil project
- provide practical help through volunteering, fundraising, researching history
- participate in events
Your membership shows your support for the work of Leanchoil Trust and its objects and activities as detailed in the Articles of Association.
There are Three Types of Membership
Ordinary Member
- over 16 years of age
- resident in the Forres Academy catchment area
- entitled to vote at a local government election
- support the objects and activities of the charity
- able to nominate and elect people to serve as Directors
ASSOCIATE Member
- individuals not normally resident in the Forres Academy catchment area
- organisations that support the objects and activities of the charity
JUNIOR MEMBER
- individuals aged between 12 and 15 years of age
- support the objects and activities of the charity

Leanchoil
Officially opened in April of 1892, Leanchoil served the communities of the area for over 125 years.Before hospital was built on the outskirts of Forres, the only available inpatient accommodation was a small building on Burnside.
